Construction technology of wear-resistant ceramic lined pipe
(1) Surface Treatment of Pipes
Before installing the wear-resistant ceramic lining, the inner walls of elbow pipes need to be thoroughly cleaned. Firstly, rust, oil stains, impurities, etc. on the inner walls of the pipes should be removed by sandblasting or grinding to achieve a certain degree of roughness on the pipe surface, which enhances the bonding force between the ceramic lining and the pipe wall. Then, the inner walls of the pipes should be cleaned with a cleaning agent to ensure that the surface is clean and dry.
(2) Installation of Ceramic Lining
Adhesive Method: Evenly apply high-strength adhesive on the back of the ceramic tiles and the inner wall of the pipe. According to the design requirements, stick the ceramic tiles one by one onto the inner wall of the pipe, ensuring that the tiles are closely attached with no gaps. After the adhesive is applied, use special fixtures to secure the ceramic tiles until the adhesive is completely cured.
Welding method: For the welded type of wear-resistant ceramic lining, metal connection pieces are first welded onto the ceramic tiles, and then the ceramic tiles are fixed to the inner wall of the pipe through the metal connection pieces by welding. During the welding process, the welding parameters must be strictly controlled to ensure the welding quality and avoid the ceramic tiles from cracking or falling off due to improper welding.
(3) Quality Inspection
After the installation is completed, a comprehensive quality inspection of the wear-resistant ceramic lining is necessary. The bonding or welding quality of the ceramic sheets can be checked by tapping. If a clear and crisp sound is produced, it indicates a good combination of the ceramic sheets and the pipe wall; if a dull sound is heard, there may be hollowing or detachment, which requires immediate handling. In addition, ultrasonic testing and other methods can be used to inspect the thickness and integrity of the ceramic lining to ensure it meets the design requirements.
The application of wear-resistant ceramic linings in various fields
(1) Power Industry
In thermal power plants, the bends of coal powder conveying pipelines and ash removal pipelines suffer severe wear. After using wear-resistant ceramic liners, the wear rate of the pipelines can be significantly reduced, the frequency of maintenance and downtime can be decreased, and the operational reliability and economy of the power equipment can be improved.
(2) Metallurgical Industry
In the coal injection systems of steel mills, the powder conveying pipelines of mines, and the raw material conveying and finished product conveying pipelines of cement plants, the wear-resistant ceramic inner linings also play a significant role, effectively solving the problem of frequent pipeline replacements caused by material wear, and ensuring the stable operation of production.
(3) Chemical Industry
In chemical production, some conveying pipelines containing corrosive media and solid particles, such as pipelines for transporting sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid, have a wear-resistant ceramic inner lining. This lining can not only resist the corrosion of the media but also withstand the wear caused by solid particles, providing a strong guarantee for the safe and stable operation of chemical production.
